DESCRIPTION

The necklace is braided with a combination of unbleached recycled sari silk ribbon and peace silk yarn  ('peace silk' is a name of silk made by ethical process where no silk worms were harmed), with grey micro-macrame cord for added strength. The long braid ends are left open so you can tie the talisman to hang at any desired level. But there are also decorative crystal details on both ends of the necklace braids: two loops in one end, and two knotted strands with crystal toggles on the other, which you can slip through one or both loops to close the necklace braids that way. This closure creates a long necklace, allowing the key to hang around, even below, solar plexus level. If you prefer to wear this talisman shorter, you'd just tie the braids behind your neck like you'd tie shoelaces. As the talisman would easily slip over your head at its longest length, you could keep the crystal toggles permanently secured through the loops for easy wear.

The key is quite long at 7 cm (2.75") tall. The necklace braid, when secured with the crystal toggles through the loops, has an all-around length of 78 cm (30.5").

The key in this talisman refers particularly to the connection with Hecate, but keys of course carry general symbolism as well:
