Caring for your jewellery Whilst there is nothing too special you need to do to keep your natural crystal jewellery beautiful, you may like to consider the following: - Remove crystal macrame necklaces when showering or bathing. Whilst you can briefly rinse the necklace if ever need be, repetitive rinsing or prolonged soaking is not recommended as it may cause the cords to loosen their shape. If required, some mild or diluted liquid soap can be used on occasion if necessary. In that case rinse the soap off quickly with cold water and dry the necklace cord by pressing between a soft towel to remove excess water.-I would also advice not to wear your crystal amulet when sleeping as some of the more delicate elements may break. If you want to benefit from the crystal energy also while sleeping, place the amulet next to your bed/pillow as this way your auras are still in contact. -The micro-macrame cord is UV safe so you can happily wear your crystal macrame necklace in sunlight. However, do note that some crystals, such as Amethyst, are be sensitive to sunlight and can fade, so just be aware if you live in a sunny environment. - Take care when leaning down or over something so that your necklace crystal does not hit or slam against something hard, as the crystal may chip. - When not in use, store your crystal necklace preferably in the fabric pouch it came in to keep it from clashing onto and rubbing into other objects, as well as dust free. Alternatively it may also be nice to hang it somewhere in your living space. - Energetic cleansing is recommended for most crystals. There is plenty of information online about various methods to achieve this, and people have their own preferences. I use energy healing techniques, visualisation, mantras and other sound frequency methods to cleanse crystals, depending on what seems to be required with any individual crystal. I regularly use crystal tuning fork (4096Hz), and a "purifying mist" that contains sage and cedarwood. (I know there are many people who like to leave their crystals out to be 'cleansed' in moonlight, especially full moon. Personally I don't find this method effective or the results desirable, so I choose to use different methods.)If you have a very challenging job or often meet people who tend to drain your energy, it is a good idea to let the crystal you've been wearing to rest and recharge regularly. A simple method is to have a dedicated small wooden bowl (glass and ceramic is fine too, just not metal) in which you place rice and your crystal on top of it overnight. (You need to dispose of the rice after it has been used for crystal cleansing.) You can of course also use a crystal geode or an Obsidian mirror to rest your crystal amulet on for a recharge. If you know Reiki, you can quickly clear and recharge your crystals that way. If you have any questions about caring for your crystal amulet, feel free to send me a message! Prior to leaving Spirit Carrier studio, all crystals are energy cleansed, balanced and activated for the highest good of their new keeper.
