Royal Mail, the UK's national postal service speedily implemented a system to manage the 10% tariff for shipping packages from the UK to the US. They sorted it just in time, so there's no pause now in shipping packages from the Spirit Carrier studio to the US!

This means that if you are in the US, and you want to order something from the Spirit Carrier website, it'll be just like normal for you, and it'll be me who pays the tariffs at the point of getting the shipping label for your package. So you'll receive your order as normal, without any hassle.

For the time being, I will not be calculating the 10% tariff into my prices, as I would find it so unfair for all of you who have supported my small business over these many years. We'll just see how this goes, and in time, if I need to adjust pricing, I will let you know. But just now, this is such a positive development, and I'm thrilled that the situation has solved itself so quickly.

The tariff situation has also given rise to SPAM. It is possible that these scammers target only people here in the UK like myself who actually know what 'Royal Mail' is -BUT- if you were ever to receive an email like the screenshot here, asking you to pay customs duty, it is not real. It's spam. You will have nothing to pay when receiving your order, so just ignore it. You can spot a fake request like this as it will not address you by name, nor give any details of the package it refers to. Also spot the 'Reply-to' email address in the top right corner.
