DESCRIPTION

Thinly braided very long necklace in fresh summery green tone. The main pendant includes a lotus flower carved from bodhi root, with a tassel of Aquamarine and Amethyst crystals. The long green braid has tiny crystal florets dotted along its length: Amethyst, White Lace Agate, Peace Jade and Moonstone, with a more prominent one of Aquamarine in the middle which adds to the decorative effect when the length is doubled up for wearing. The total all-around length of this necklace is approx. 138 cm (54"). The pendant tassel dangles down a total length of approx. 5 cm (2") from the top of the bodhi lotus down to the base of the tassel. The carved lotus is approx. 2 x 2 cm (0.8"x0.8") in size. 

In Buddhist symbolism white lotus flower signifies spiritual awakening (Bodhi), purity, and enlightenment. It represents the ability to rise above suffering and attain a state of mental and spiritual perfection. This beautiful flower's ability to bloom amidst the mud symbolises overcoming the impurities of the world.
