DESCRIPTION

This unusual pebble of Gobi Desert Agate has been patiently waiting in my studio for its turn to be made wearable. Its shape being quite unusual and not the easiest structurally, I’d often pass this one when there were other crystals equally ready to go out into the world. Yet the quiet persistence of this one… not the shiniest, not the most eye-catching, maybe even a bit awkward - yet with its own strong, natural resonance of having been tumbled by the desert winds and polished by the desert sands in its original environment. It’s like this one has been resiliently whispering: “Choose me” - and here it is. Chosen and ready for its new keeper. This stone emits transformational energy with its look and feel of something once-upon-a-time soft and malleable that has over centuries been shaped and solidified into its current form. Like it carries a story within, of all that it has seen and experienced. Much like us humans.

I’ve knotted the necklace with two tones of micro-macrame cord, beige and pink, to create dynamic contrast between the main stone and the highlighting crystals it invited along: blue Kyanite, Sodalite, Rubellite and Moonstone. The length of the necklace is adjustable from as short as you wish down to solar plexus level. The Gobi Desert Agate is just under 5 cm (2") tall and 3.3 cm (1.3") at its widest.

There are no metals in this necklace so would be particularly suitable for those with metal sensitivities, energy workers and those who simply prefer not to wear metal.
