DESCRIPTION

This unusual stone is a raw, natural, un-drilled Prophecy Stone from Egypt's white desert. This nearly black treasure has a long wand-like shape. Organically shaped by the desert sand and wind, this pebble is knotted with a combination of three tones of micro-macrame cord: dark brown, burgundy red and earthy brownish green. The lace-like knotwork is accented with Peacock Pearls, Almandine Garnet and Champagne Tourmaline crystals. There's also a 'companion' strand of Peacock Pearls and Almandine Garnet, hanging on one side of the Prophecy Stone. The necklace cord ends join together into a small tassel, adorned with matching crystals.

Prophecy Stone is a pseudomorph of hematite/limonite after marcasite. If you look closely, you can see the original crystalline structure of the marcasite. A pseudomorph is a mineral that appears in a form other than its own crystalline structure, having totally replaced another, but the appearance and shape of the original mineral is retained - like a mould.

The length of the necklace is adjustable from very short down to solar plexus level. The Prophecy Stone is just under 5.5 cm (2.2") tall and 1 cm (0.3") wide in its middle.
